What a better way to kick off the community posts with my dinner tonight! This was a really filling & experimental dinner. We've got a roasted butternut squash, leek & chicken pasta with chilli & rosemary ๐Ÿ˜ - Leeks = prebiotics and flavour! - Butternut squash = very low calorie, so you can really volume eat it, which helps keep you full for less cals - Wholewheat pasta = controlled portion, good fibre and a little helping of protein - Chicken = protein! Overall, the dish has 51.8g protein, 9.8g fibre and is under 650 cals!

This week I'd like to see members post about any lunch or dinner they've cooked with chicken! Whether that be pre-cooked, whole, breast, thighs or whatever else you fancy, share away. Chicken is a really lean source of protein, so it's perfect for weight loss - it keeps us full and helps maintain our muscle mass. The highest protein chicken source is breast, whereas darker chicken meat such as leg and thighs is lower in protein and higher in fat, so always check the nutrition label to see what works best for you! Breast is notoriously less flavoursome though, which does sometimes mean people then add more calories in flavour/sauce/spice, so be aware if this could be you!

Breakfast wrap
This is one of my diet staples. A high fiber breakfast wrap that will fill you up and stick with you. Saute shredded cabbage, add it to your egg & egg whites, cook them to your preferred consistency. Wrap in your low carb tortilla (I add Sriracha or hot sauce) then toast the wrap on your already heated skillet. If you are not a cabbage person brocoli slaw is a good sub. An added bonus: the egg protein is a good compliment to the gluten to make a complete protein profile.
