🎮 WEEKEND GAME — TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE
Let’s see how good your detective skills are. 👀 Write 3 statements about yourself in English: ✅ Two must be true ❌ One must be a lie Don’t tell us which one is fake. Then: 1️⃣ Post your three statements below 2️⃣ Pick someone else’s comment 3️⃣ Guess their lie 4️⃣ Defend yourself if people accuse you 😂 No translator. No overthinking. Your English doesn’t have to be perfect. I’ll go first. 👇
😂 ITALIAN TRAP: ACTUALLY ≠ ATTUALMENTE
Quick English trap for Italians 🇮🇹 If you say: “Actually, I live in Italy.” you're NOT saying: “Attualmente vivo in Italia.” Actually usually means: 👉 in realtà / a dire il vero If you mean attualmente, you'd usually say: 👉 currently 👉 at the moment So: ❌ Actually, I'm working in a factory. ✅ Currently, I'm working in a factory. Now your turn: What's an English word or expression you misunderstood for way too long? 😂 Bonus points for embarrassing mistakes. 👇
👋 FIRST MISSION: WHO ARE YOU?
Your first English Club mission is simple: Introduce yourself using 5 sentences in English. Tell us: 🌍 Where are you from? 🎂 How old are you? 🎧 What are you into right now? 🇬🇧 Why do you want to improve your English? 🎲 One random fact about yourself. Rules: ❌ No translator ❌ No ChatGPT ❌ Don’t spend 20 minutes making it perfect Then reply to at least one other person in English. This is a club, not a classroom. Talk to people. 👇
