Did you know the pace of our breathing is affected by stress?
Stress can cause us to unknowingly take quicker and shorter breaths or even hold our breath at times!
This can be heard in our voice - affecting our tone and pitch, and did you know breathing incorrectly can aggravate stress levels further!
Ultimately this can affect how we deliver our message and respond to others!
Can you imagine how sales can be affected if this is not managed?!
Here are my top 3 tips to manage your breathing every day!
1. Practice breath work as a regular daily habit to train your body to breath correctly! (This doesn't have to be anything fancy - just a few minutes of slow deep breathing each morning can work wonders!)
2. Maintain awareness of your breath during sales conversations, inhaling your breath up from the abdomen, not the chest.
3. Look after your posture! A good posture helps you to breathe effectively!
