Attract cold leads, part 4
How can you attract cold leads online? Part 4 of a series of 5.
As you know in this series, I have been covering the 5 main ways to attract cold leads and potential clients. This is how you get your audience get to know, like, and trust you. The 5 main ways are:
1. Inform – tell them what you offer (covered in part 1)
2. Educate – this makes you an authority (covered in part 2)
3. Inspire – will build trust (covered in part 3)
4. Connect – build relationships (Today’s Instalment)
5. Entertain – engages and breaks the ice. (Jan 5th Instalment)
4. CONNECT
Builds relationships with potential and new customers.
a. Meet the team.
Introductions to the people behind your business, showcasing their roles, personalities, or achievements. Example: “Meet Alex, our lead designer! When Alex isn’t crafting amazing visuals, you’ll find them exploring local hiking trails.” Showcases the human element of your business, builds trust, and helps your audience feel connected to the team.
b. Behind the scenes.
A glimpse into the day-to-day operations, processes, or creative journey of your business. Example: “Here’s a sneak peek at how we prepare your orders with love and care!” Makes your audience feel like insiders, promoting a closer connection with your brand.
c. Your Story.
The history, inspiration, or journey that led to the creation of your business. Example: “It all started in a small kitchen with a big dream to bring artisan bread to our community.” Builds authenticity and trust, helping your audience relate to you, your mission and values.
d. Personal Shares Posts that share personal moments, reflections, or insights from you or your team. Example: “This week, I’ve been reflecting on how much we’ve grown as a business and as a family—thank you for being part of our journey!” Adds a relatable, human element to your content and promotes emotional connections.
e. Your Why.
The purpose or passion driving your business, beyond just selling products or services. Example: “We believe everyone deserves high-quality skincare that’s affordable and sustainable—this is what drives us every day.” Reinforces your values and mission, helping your audience align and connect with your purpose.
f. Gratitude
Posts that express appreciation to your audience, team, or partners. Example: “We’re so grateful for your support—thanks to you, we’ve been able to grow and give back to our community!” Strengthens relationships by showing genuine appreciation, creating a positive emotional connection.
If you have found this useful, like the post and comment what you will implement over the coming weeks.
See you next week, which is next year, for the final Instalment.
Until then… HAPPY NEW YEAR !
