FIGHT ON!!
There comes a moment in every believer’s life when the battle becomes so intense, the warfare so personal, and the pressure so severe that no external voice can carry you through it. You must learn how to encourage yourself in the Lord. The Bible declares in 1 Samuel 30:6 that when David was distressed, betrayed, grieved, and surrounded by devastation, “David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” David did not deny the pain, nor did he collapse beneath the pressure of it. He reached for the One who had anointed him, sustained him, and called him. He pulled strength out of covenant! He pulled courage out of remembrance! He pulled power out of the Word of the Lord over his life. And that is the word of the Lord for you: you are not being called to quit in this hour friend, you are being commanded to fight on. The same God who kept David in Ziklag is the same God who will keep you in your moment of distress. Though tears have fallen and warfare has intensified, there is still a shout in your spirit, there is still oil on your life, and there is still a promise over your head. I am here to encourage you to fight on.
When you begin to use the Word of God to encourage yourself, something supernatural happens in the spirit: the Spirit of Strength and Might begins to rise upon you. El Gibbor, the Mighty God, the God of battle, the God who prevails breathes fresh power into the weary soul. This is not just positive thinking saints this is divine empowerment. When you declare what God has said in the middle of what hell is doing, you activate heaven’s strength in earthly conflict. Every promise you rehearse becomes a weapon. Every scripture you decree becomes a sword. Every time you remind yourself, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” you are pushing back darkness with divine authority. I am teaching you how to fight and WIN!!! Every time you declare, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” you are silencing fear and summoning courage. The Word of God is not passive language; it is living, sharp, and full of resurrection force. And when you speak it over your own life, the spirit of might will come upon your inner man, causing your hands to war and your heart to stand. What tried to break you will instead reveal the strength of God in you. What tried to bury you will become the place where God proves He is still El-Gibbor in the life of His servant.
I speak to your spirit and your mind now: Fight on. Fight through the pressure and fatigue. Fight through the disappointment. Fight through the silence, the delay, the warfare, and the exhaustion. Encourage yourself in the Lord until your strength returns. Prophesy to your own soul until fear loosens its grip. Speak the Word of God in praise until the spirit of heaviness breaks and holy boldness rises again. The God who strengthened David after devastation is strengthening you now. The God who caused him to recover all is still the God of recovery, restoration, and recompense. You may have been wounded, but you are not without weapons. You may have been pressed, but you are not powerless. The Spirit of the Lord is causing strength and might to come upon you even now, and what looked like your breaking point HAS become your turning point. Therefore, lift your head, steady your heart, and set your face like a flint. You are encouraged to fight on; not because the battle is easy, but because the Mighty God is with you, His Word is in you, and victory is still your portion. LET’S FIGHT ON!!
