Hello, my name is Soph. After years teaching and practicing Yoga I have come to learn that there is not enough support out there for new Yoga teachers and speaking generally, the space can be tricky to navigate. There is a lot of pressure, comparison and judgement dictating teachers and spaces which is causing tension and friction, creating noise. My mission here is to facilitate a supportive environment for teachers to learn and grow.
There is room for all of us with our unique flavours and backgrounds and facilitation styles but that doesn't mean that there are not ways to refine and improve our offering. At the Down Dog Academy you will be supported and encouraged to develop your voice whilst learning the necessary tools to create a vibrant community, busy classes and a sustainable path forward. Before you jump into more teacher trainings, consider working with a mentor first, you are liely to receive more benefit for your money with 1:1 support and tailored learning.
