Who am I and why am I speaking with you?
I was born in India in a middle class family. My parents placed a huge emphasis on our education - we are 4 sisters. Dad was a geologist and mum was a teacher. 3 of us sisters are now doctors and one, an entrepreneur, Alhamdolillah. I saw from young childhood how women didn't really live their lives. They seemed to exist and then die. And husbands seemed to control them. I decided to have a voice. I chose to be a surgeon and Alhamdolillah, became one. My parents supported me for MBBS but became the typical parents who place marriage above everything once the girl child grows up. I resisted. I learnt about my rights. I exercised them, with love and respect. I never argued, never raised my voice. I did what Allah created me to do. It's a long story and I am writing a book on it. Today, I am a surgeon, a property investor, a coach, a wife and a mum. Yes, you can have it all, Alhamdolillah. It is simple. You just need a spine. Islam gives us all this. I want all women to have this. And I will do my best for the rest of my life, to improve as many lives as I can, In sha Allah. I am developing this page, please stay and support my endeavour. We will grow together, in sha Allah.
