Historically, crossroads were usually seen as unsettling, sacred, mysterious, shady, and powerful places. To me, the crossroads is a liminal place.A place between worlds.A meeting point of paths, spirits, ancestors, choices, and transformation. Since time out of mind, our ancestors came to the crossroads seeking guidance, protection, clarity, and change. Prayers were whispered there. Offerings were left there. Deals were struck, protections were made, and it was known as the path where the dead traveled. Something ancient lives at the crossroads. That’s why I chose the name Crossroads Apothecary for my business and named this community The Crossroads Circle. It’s not just because where paths physically cross, but because something happens there. The veil shifts. It’s thinner. Possibility opens. The old self and the new self briefly stand in the same place. Crossroads are also about choices. About the decisions that shape who we become and where we go next. And honestly, I think many of us are standing at one right now. Not a road. Not a map pin. But that feeling… the one that wakes you at 3am or shows up in the pause before you answer a question you already know the answer to. Something ending. Something not yet begun.
