Choosing Alignment Over Perfection. Every Time.
Hey Mama🌸
Let me remind you of something real quick. Just because your creative routine doesn’t look like the perfectly planned, aesthetic routines you see online doesn’t mean it’s not working.
Some of the strongest routines are messy on purpose. The kind you do with kids awake, in 15 minute pockets, with interruptions and noise in the background. Because those are the routines you actually stick with.
If we want creativity to be part of our real lives, we have to stop forcing it into a rigid box. It has to flex with the day. Trust me, I’ve made changes to my own routine recently, and keeping up with it has not been easy. This year is all about consistency for me, so I’ve been trying to protect my evenings for creative fun.
And then life does what life does. Things pop up. Plans get shifted.
As a recovering, and still very much struggling, perfectionist, I have to keep reminding myself that I don’t need a big, uninterrupted chunk of time. A few minutes still count. Doing something is always better than doing nothing.
So mama, remember this. Alignment with your goals beats perfection every single time.
You’ve got this 💜
