Weekly Writing Challenge — Let’s Build Momentum
What’s up everyone — Dennis here. Let’s kick this week off strong. If you’re in this academy, it means you’ve got a story in you… something you’re trying to bring to life. But stories don’t grow without pressure, discipline, and a little bit of push. That’s what this challenge is for. This week, I want you to lock in and write with intention — not perfection. Here’s your challenge: ✍️ Write a 500–1,000 word scene focused on ONE of these: - A character’s turning point - A moment of conflict or pressure - A scene that reveals who your character really is Pick whichever hits you the hardest. What I really want from you: Don’t overthink it. Don’t try to impress anybody. Just get the reps in. Consistency builds skill. Skill builds confidence. Confidence builds momentum. Finish your scene, then post it in the community. I’ll be here giving feedback, and I want everyone else to support each other too. Remember: You don’t get better by waiting. You get better by showing up. Let’s work. 💪🔥✍️
🔥 Weekly Challenge Submission — Harhuza Prologue
What’s up everyone — Dennis here. For this week’s writing challenge, I chose “A scene that reveals who your character really is.” This moment comes from the prologue of my book Legend of Harhuza — the introduction to my main character before the story begins. It sets the tone for who he was, who he became, and why his return matters. Here it is: I was a god once. Before the stars were born, before the angels carved Heaven’s gates into existence, I was Harhuza—the first light to pierce the infinite void. The Creator’s greatest work. But like all creations, I was flawed. I did not bow. I did not obey. While others sang praises to the Creator, I saw the cracks in His design. I saw His weakness, His fear of what we could become. And when I spoke my truth, when I sought to reshape existence in my image, He cast me down. Lucifer, the pretender, called himself Prince of Darkness. But I was the true King. When I walked the flames of Hell, they bent to me. When I spoke, the legions trembled. But Lucifer—ever the schemer, ever the snake—sought my throne. For a moment, I allowed myself arrogance. I believed myself untouchable. In that moment, Lucifer betrayed me. I was not cast into the fires of Hell. No. My punishment was far worse. I was torn from existence, my essence ripped from its divine form and bound to an object—a fragment of gold no larger than a coin. An amulet. For millennia, I drifted in the abyss. Powerless. Voiceless. Forgotten. But mortals have a way of stumbling where they should not. In 1899, I felt the first touch of a human hand in over ten thousand years. I felt the pulse of life, the warmth of blood. And I knew I would rise again. Would love your thoughts. What hits you, what confuses you, what stands out. Let’s keep building each other up. 💪🔥✍️

A quick intro — who I am & what I’m building
What’s up everyone — Dennis here. Since this is the start of The Creative Hustle Academy, I wanted to properly introduce myself and share what I’m working on. I’m a writer, storyteller, and creator who’s been grinding quietly for years. Recently I decided to take things seriously: • I’m writing multiple scripts • Building out my own creative projects • Recording and releasing music under Don LyRix • And now launching this Academy to level up with other creators who move with intention My goals right now are simple: Get better, stay consistent, and finish what I start. If you’re on that same wave, you’re in the right place. Drop a comment and let me know what you’re working on … script, book, music, whatever. I want to know what you’re building. Let’s grow this thing together. 💪🔥✍️
