My Identity Crisis
I used to introduce myself with my job title, many of us do this and I am sure you can relate...
I am a Quality Systems Manager...
That was it , that was me.
My identity was so wrapped up in my career that I didnt know who I was without it.
A severe identity crisis hit me 2 years back like a ton of bricks .I remember thinking besides my job who am I ?
It was terrifying .
It was lonely .
It was the type of quiet desperation that looked fine on the outside but killing me on the inside.
I share this because I know I am not the only one.
Maybe you have been there too.
Maybe you are there right now.
The version of me that had no idea that the answer would come through paper pages.
For now I just want to say: If your identity feels so tied up in your job, keep reading...I have something to share with you in the coming days.
