💰 Money Moves Monday — July 6, 2026
First full week of July — holiday weekend's behind us, and it's back to business. 1. Awesome Foundation Micro-Grant Amount: $1,000 — no strings, no equity, nothing to repay Deadline: Rolling — new grants awarded every month Who it's for: Truly everyone. Individuals, teams, for-profits, and nonprofits alike — if you can fill out the form, you can apply. You apply to a local or thematic chapter, and there's no fee. Why it's worth it: The lowest-friction pick on the list. Chapters fund bold, community-spirited projects across arts, tech, and community development. A clean $1K to move one concrete thing forward — and an application you can finish today. Apply: https://www.awesomefoundation.org/en/submissions/new 2. Moonshot Awards 2026 ⏳ (closes this week) Amount: Equity-free grants, up to $100K total across 8 categories Deadline: Friday, July 12 — the most time-sensitive pick on the board Who it's for: Entrepreneurs and changemakers aged 15–30 (firm age cap), any country, building bold solutions with real social or environmental impact. Free to apply. Why it's worth it: One of the few equity-free awards at this size open to a global, early-stage crowd — and winners also enter a two-year acceleration program with mentorship and a global network. If you're in the eligible age range, don't let this one slip past Friday. Apply:https://www.moonshotplatform.org/awards 3. Whole Foods Market LEAP: Early Growth Amount: $25,000 — full disclosure: this is an equity investment (via a donor-advised fund), not a cash grant, and it comes with a 12-week accelerator plus consideration for shelf placement Deadline: 2026 cohort is open now — cohort-based, so apply early; spots are limited Who it's for: Early-stage CPG food, beverage, and wellness brands not yet sold in Whole Foods (no alcohol, THC, fresh produce, or food-service businesses). Free to apply. Why it's worth it: Retail readiness plus a real shot at national shelf space — last cohort selected 10 brands from 1,600+ applicants. For a packaged-goods entrepreneur, the buyer access and mentorship can be worth as much as the investment.
