WHETHER YOU'RE RE-BUILDING OR STARTING FROM ZERO
Let me be honest with you. I’ve been a chef for 20 years. I could run a kitchen under pressure. I could lead a team. I could execute at a high level. But running a restaurant? That exposed me. I lost money. I lost confidence. Eventually… I lost the restaurant. Not because I couldn’t cook. But because passion and skill don’t automatically equal business knowledge. Then COVID hit. And instead of holding onto something that was draining me financially and mentally… I walked away. That decision hurt. But it also matured me. Now I work as a support worker. And being in that role changed my perspective in a big way. I see people every day who don’t always get second chances. People who don’t get easy pivots. People who don’t get endless opportunities to “try again.” And it makes me realize something powerful: If you can build again — build. If you can start fresh — start. If you can take another risk — take it. Some of you here are rebuilding after a loss. Some of you are starting a brand-new journey with no experience. Some of you feel behind. Let me tell you this: Starting again is not failure. Starting new is not weakness. Pivoting is not quitting. It’s growth. Everything and anything I share and post in this forum is from personal experiences. And my mission is to reach out to as many as possible - JImmy 😍
