bugs can sometimes hide other bugs.
It's important to celebrate movement in your code, even if it isn't forward.
a new bug found isn't a failure - its feedback on how the code works. If it is introducing a new error before the bug you were working on - then that tells you something about the positioning of the bug you are hunting down!
This also highlights the importance of testing each change to verify that you know where your code is at in implementation at any point. makes bugs easier to hunt down later.
