So much of what we “know” about birth wasn’t chosen consciously. It was absorbed through stories, movies, medical narratives family comments, you get the idea.
Maybe it was:
- “Birth is dangerous.”
- “Doctors know best.”
- “Your body can’t be trusted.”
- “Pain is inevitable.”
- “Good mothers comply.”
And maybe you didn’t question any of it until recently.
