But Netflix, the undisputed king of overall viewership and subscriptions, wasn’t far behind with 121 nods. Meanwhile, Apple TV+ made history with its highest nomination count ever—81—with standout shows Severance and The Studio leading the charge. That’s pretty impressive for a platform that’s only been around six years. We’ll also look at the surprising snubs—especially for Prime and Paramount+, who were completely shut out of above-the-line categories. And for those who love a bit of Hollywood crossover, two Oscar-winning directors, Martin Scorsese and Ron Howard, were nominated—not for directing—but for guest acting in The Studio.
