How to answer "Tell me about yourself" in an engineering interview
Congrats! If you have an interview coming up take moment to celebrate - your efforts have paid off!
Here's my advice for answering this question:
  1. I created a bullet point list of what I wanted to say and spoke my "pitch" out loud. Bonus tip: record yourself so you can hear if your making sense (it will get easier with practice).
2. Gave examples of my strongest engineering experiences and academic results that were linked to the job role
3. Summarise by how these have led you to this role in particular. It shows you have thought through why you applied for this job + why you're the right candidate. It demonstrates you're serious about having a career in this field and you've made conscious choices along your way.
