We Made It Through Our First Week Together
One week. Seven days. And already I can feel what this community is going to become.
I have read your introductions. I have read your comments. I have read the things you shared about your children, your students, and your families. And I want you to know: I see every single one of you.
This week, I learned that this community is full of parents who are trying SO hard and who deserve so much more support than they have been getting.
I learned that there are educators in here who are quietly doing extraordinary work in classrooms that were not built to support the children they love.
I learned that there are grandmothers and aunties and extended family members carrying more than most people know.
And I learned that this community is going to be something real.
