Sorry I'm a couple days late, but there are so many amazing poems this week it made it really hard to choose. Thank you, everyone, for sharing. I love this community.
This one stopped me.
Not because it tried toβ¦but because it told the truth most people donβt say out loud.
Congratulations to James J. Humecky for The Grieving of Men.
Thereβs something in this piece that hits deeper than poetryβit speaks for the men who carry weight in silenceβ¦who were taught to hold it inβ¦who never got a place to set it down.
And maybe thatβs why it matters.
Because this community? This is that place.
Jamesβthis wasnβt just a poem. This was a voice for a lot of people.
