Homeless
Today, as I drove to work I seen you.
You were walking down the road wrapped in a throw.
Seventeen degrees, the sight of you chilled me to the bones.
It humbled me, reminding me why I should be grateful.
Then I began to pray for the homeless.
Even if bad choices caused homelessness,
They need compassion, they need warmth, they need food and love too.
I remember walking those shoes, doesn’t seem that long ago.
Instead of condemnation, offer love.
Instead of judgement, offer a warm meal.
Remember that could have been you or one of your children.
You never know what one act of kindness can do for them.
