I made a big mistake…
Posted a video and put it on a lot of platforms (TikTok, IG, FB, YT), but I didn’t take into account the delivery after my CTA should be platform specific 🤦♂️
On IG & FB, you have the option to set up automatic DMs when someone comments a certain word on your post.
TikTok does not have that feature.
And where did I get all my comments?
TikTok.
So I spent hours today DMing about 200 people manually so far to fulfill on my promise of sending a video tour of a cabin if they commented.
But this us how I learn, I screw it up and now I know better for next time.
CTAs should be platform specific.
My next video will have a word you can text to a number in the CTA of my YouTube video, TikTok will be DM me a specific word, and Meta will be comment a specific word. That way the follow through is automated.
But, bonus win I did get a ton more views on TikTok than I’ve ever gotten before so that’s kinda cool. 😎
