Shadow An Adjuster
Hi everyone! I wanted to update you on what I've been working on. I have a few videos coming up for "Shadow an Adjuster" They will show different loss types and the correct way to scope them. I have residential claims for wind, for hail, and for water loss. I will add some commercial claims as well.
Understanding Policy Coverage
Understanding policy coverage is one of the most important parts of being an adjuster. Every claim starts with the same question: What does the policy actually cover? It’s more than reading a declarations page — it’s interpreting limits, exclusions, endorsements, and how they apply to the specific loss in front of you. When you understand coverage, you can set clear expectations with the insured, make accurate decisions, avoid leakage, and write clean, defensible files that carriers trust. Strong coverage knowledge doesn’t just protect the company — it protects you as an adjuster. It builds confidence, speeds up claim handling, and prevents the headaches that come from misunderstandings or incorrect decisions. At the end of the day, understanding coverage isn’t just a technical skill — it’s the foundation of good adjusting.
