๐ Question:
From @rin_itoshi4567 โWhen it comes to writing value emails, I remember you said they need to be entertaining, because my emails aren't just competing with other emails in my audience's inbox, but also with TikTok. But I donโt really understand how to make an email entertaining. Can you explain it to me, please?โ
๐ Answer:
It comes down to something as simple as the way you tell stories.
Why?
Because stories print money.
Let me explain.
The reader will naturally immerse themselves in a story, making it more relatable, meaning theyโre more likely to take action.
Now, you can write a story literally as it wasโฆ
โฆ or you can create a situation that hacks into the reader's mind.
Check out these 2 examples.
1๏ธโฃ %FIRSTNAME%, back when I was working in construction, I watched someone fall off a roofโฆ
Why?
Because my boss always tried to save money and we had little safety equipment.
Or
2๏ธโฃ {Thud}
โF@*K!โ
I thought Iโd just watched someone die %FIRSTNAME%.
That was back at my old sketchy carpentry job.
My boss cut EVERY corner just to save costsโฆ
โฆAnd that included putting his employees in danger.
Number 1 explains the situation, and number 2 places you in the scene, just like reading a bookโฆ
Except this only takes a minute to read, giving the quick hit of dopamine like TikTok.
To compete with the world of exciting reels, your copy needs to have the same level or more drama.
If you want to get better at storytelling, I recommend analyzing more pro copy, and reading fictional books.
