Let’s get faster in the 400/800
Welcome to the Community 👋🏽 Hi, my name is Sean Watson. I’m a husband, father, coach, and former Division I runner. I created this space for a few important reasons, but it all started when I became a coach. I wasn’t fully satisfied with the training my own children were receiving. Like many parents, I observed quietly, learned as much as I could, and kept my thoughts to myself—until I realized it was time to step in and do things differently. I also built this community because there isn’t enough practical, easy-to-follow guidance for athletes, parents, and new coaches—especially when it comes to long-term development in the 400m and 800m. This space is built to provide structure, clarity, and purpose through training, nutrition, health, and race execution. While I’ll share what I’ve learned as an athlete and coach, I strongly believe in continued learning. Every athlete is different, and great coaching requires adaptability, curiosity, and attention to the individual—not just the plan. My goal is simple: to help athletes train smarter, stay healthy, and perform at their best—year-round. 👇 Now I’d love to hear from you.
