Texas General Notary Training
Join us on Saturday, August 29th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM for an interactive, hands-on Texas General Notary Training! We've intentionally kept this class small so every attendee receives personalized attention, has plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and benefits from one-on-one guidance throughout the workshop. You'll leave with more than just information—you'll leave with confidence, valuable resources, and a clear plan for your next steps. https://www.jotform.com/build/261948239663066

AI!?! How can I take advantage of ChatGPT?
🤖 Is anyone here using AI in their notary business? When people hear "AI," they often think it's going to replace us. I see it differently—I use it to help me save time so I can spend more time serving clients. Here are just a few ways AI can help a notary: ✅ Write professional emails to title companies, attorneys, and clients. ✅ Create social media posts in minutes. ✅ Brainstorm marketing ideas when you're stuck. ✅ Build checklists and workflows for your business. ✅ Draft templates for policies, FAQs, and client communications. ✅ Create flyers, brochures, and business content. ✅ Organize ideas for workshops or training classes. ✅ Help explain complicated topics in simple language. One important reminder: AI should never replace your legal knowledge or professional judgment. Always review anything AI creates for accuracy and make sure you're following your state's notary laws and any rules that apply to the services you offer. Personally, I see AI as a virtual assistant—not a replacement. 💬 I'd love to hear from everyone: - Are you already using AI? - What's your favorite AI tool? - What's one task you'd like AI to help you with?
Officiating Weddings
💍 Thinking About Becoming a Wedding Officiant in Texas? Here's What You Should Know... Did you know that in Texas, you don't have to be a judge to legally perform a wedding ceremony? If you're a notary, entrepreneur, minister, or simply someone looking to add another income stream, officiating weddings can be an incredibly rewarding service. Here are a few things many people don't realize: ✅ Texas does not require officiants to register with the state. ✅ You must have legal authority to solemnize marriages (for example, by being an ordained minister or another person authorized under Texas law). ✅ Couples are responsible for obtaining their marriage license from the county before the ceremony. ✅ After the ceremony, the officiant completes and signs the marriage license so it can be returned to the county clerk for recording. ✅ Every ceremony is unique—you can perform traditional, religious, bilingual, spiritual, secular, or customized ceremonies depending on the couple's wishes (while staying within your authority). 💰 Wedding officiating can also become an excellent addition to your business. Many officiants offer: • Elopements • Courthouse alternatives • Bilingual ceremonies • Rehearsals • Vow writing assistance • Unity ceremonies (lasso, arras, cord of three strands, sand ceremony, etc.) • Mobile ceremonies at parks, homes, venues, and hospitals The best part isn't just earning additional income—it's being part of one of the happiest days in someone's life. ❤️ Question for the group: If you're already officiating weddings, what's the biggest lesson you've learned? If you haven't started yet, what's holding you back?
