Effective Altruism
Not all charities use as high a percentage of your donations for the cause you're trying to support as others. Effective Altruism is an organization I encountered during my undergrad. They intend to assist donors in guaranteeing the maximum impact of their dollars on the world. The organization spends tens of thousands of hours each year researching global issues and finding the highest impact causes to advertise through their organization. On their website, you'd find a variety of educational materials as well as causes to donate to, and even a career guide to help you maximize your impact no matter what you decide to do for work.
