Dr. D wants to remind everyone "We don’t just stumble over triggers; we navigate the constellations they’ve formed within us. To observe the entanglement is the first step toward becoming the weaver, rather than the web." By recognizing the patterns, you reclaim the power to rewrite the narrative. Be patient with your healing process.
When the rollercoaster ride of emotions gets triggered, it is vitally important that the first thing you do is tap into your Body. You want to begin to be able to notice what the trigger is! The trigger may be hidden because your body tends to carry the signal first. Before the mind can explain the thought that is being triggered – the body tends to reveal uneasiness in the body which you want to locate. Some examples, your chest gets tight, your heartbeat is racing or your hands are shaking or sweating. A trigger can reveal itself before your body shows you where it started. Your body can help you find the doorway that’s triggered and help you know the feeling! Once you identify the doorway, you can do some Breathwork lightly inhale, exhale and watch how the body begins to unravel and expose the trigger. Important to know that your body is not betraying you, it is merely speaking a inner sacred language.
Know there is an awareness and with GOD centered stillness and presence, inner guidance can show you calm and peace.
To practice this ritual ask yourself this question….what part of my body seems to be reacting and what is it reacting to. Make sure you journal your answers.
Repeat this Closing Affirmation:
I honor the lessons that have shaped my life and I release any negative voices or triggers that do not belong to me. Just for today, I choose to listen to my inner Divine Mind for counsel. I will trust the quiet inner wisdom in my bones- I will not rush the river, I will listen to its current and place my feet in the path that my Divine Mind guides me to take in the stillness. I am allowed to BELIEVE in myself- I am learning to trust that inner guidance and am learning that I am led by GOD’S inner wisdom in me.
