👋 Start Here — Welcome!
Glad you found us. Quick rundown so you know what this place is and how to use it. What is this community? Taiwan is honestly one of the best places in Asia to be a remote worker, but almost nobody talks about it, and the info out there is a mess. Half of it's outdated, the rest is buried in random Facebook threads. This is the community that fixes that. Real, current info on actually living and working here. Why bother, when you've got ChatGPT? Fair question. If Google or AI can answer it, go ask them, you don't need us for that. What we're good at is the stuff they get wrong or just can't know. What rent really costs this month. Whether that visa rule works the way it reads on paper. And the best local events, parties, and meetups you'd never find on Google or through AI, the kind you only hear about if you're already in the right circles. We dig those out and keep them in one place. Where the info comes from? Nomads who are already here, our own first-hand experience, and local sources we've checked ourselves. If something isn't confirmed yet, we'll say so. Who I am? Hi, I'm Gabby, a digital nomad from Taiwan and a content creator I've been living the nomad life around the world for a while, and I kept wishing Taiwan had a proper community like this. So I built it. Really glad you're here 🌏 See more of what I'm about here: instagram.com/nomadstory.gabby
