Feedback needed on Cinematic Hip Hop & Trap - VOL. 1
Hi guys, I have decided to doubled down on Cinematic Hip Hop & Trap and believe I am nearly at the place where I can start pitching the first playlist to Libraries etc. I will keep each playlist to 5 tracks broken down into volumes. I need help with the order of the tracks (Which track should I put first etc.). Also, I could do with some feedback on the mix and also if any of tracks fail to meet requirements for pitching. Please let me know your thoughts on anything that I may have missed (Artwork etc..) https://s.disco.ac/ebkppiijldqg Many thanks
Collab Feedback
Hey all! @Kaleb Blackard and I have been working on this piece (surprise, @Glenn Macrae ! Welcome to the secret collab!) and are ready to get some feedback on it! It started with a melody I sent him (I think both of us were expecting a darker vibe with his cinematic trap lane and my dark pop lane but this is just what came out 😅) Then he built the arrangement, I went in and wrote lyrics and recorded vocals, and then he mixed them. Some specific questions we have: - Any specific feedback to improve the vocal mix? - Likewise any feedback on the arrangement of the beat? - What points in this song could there be more “moments” to help it build as the song goes on? https://s.disco.ac/lrahqahppelz
Playlist Feedback
Hi guys, I am looking at doubling down on one (or two) specific genre(s) and mood(s) in order to begin pitching to libraries. I currently have been working a few different genres: 1. Emotional Piano 2. Trap 3. Hip Hop 4. EDM 5. Dancehall/Afrobeats I am not sure where I should put my focus/what would be best for sync. Please have a listen a let me know your thoughts. Many thanks https://s.disco.ac/zndhoyqpblas

So i have been working with some beats @Kaleb Blackard produced and put a little ep. together this past month or so. I've mixed the vocals to a point I'm "content to an extent...." BUT, i have my complaints that are vary minimal but things I've noticed. I'm not gonna say though, just to see if I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill. I'm still growing in the audio engineering field so input is always welcome. My main ask is mainly placement and where these could live in the sync industry. Still only beginning in this sync journey i often think where I as an artist first fit in with some of my writings... I'm learning to lean into my own uniqueness as far as the writing is concerned... is that gonna bite me later or should i stay on the path of inclusivity by continue to simplify the writing and stick to common subjects, as to adhere to a more broad audience in the sync field, or continue to explore with it. And as always thanks for the time.... JQ OUT!!!!! https://s.disco.ac/zgzvquteiqqv
Tune progressing....
I'm here to learn and share. I played this for a few members tonight. I had planned on adding nice bluesy acoustic guitar licks throughout and it would be finished. Some said go electric. Some said don't add more guitar. Some said NO TALKING. Some said you need help on your mix. (One of my limitations is being unaware of technological enhancements.) So..... SPECIFICALLY What would improve/finish this song? I WANNA HEAR IT. Plugins? Spreaders? EQ? Something I never heard of? BACKGROUND: I wrote this as a scene - where the song is doing the talking for a woman who thinks/hopes she and this other person are ready to kick it up a notch. It was very spartan and quirky initially - on purpose. It continues to grow. When is enough? Thanks, Tom
