Live Coaching Call is happening in 21 hours
👑The Classroom is a goldmine👑 Make sure you're using it!!!
Hey everyone - found out recently that even some folks in the Accelerator weren't aware of everything inside the Classroom. So I clipped a quick walkthrough and wanted to share it here with all of you. ✨This is a constantly expanding resource built for you. When you show up in this community, the Classroom is one of the first places you should go. It's packed with tools, guides, and material I put together specifically to help you move forward with sync - and it's all yours to utilize just for showing up here. ✨My whole thing is delivering as much value as possible at no cost. The Classroom is a big part of that.✨ On a related note - if you're looking for more structure, accountability, and direct coaching, I run a monthly group called The Sync Vault Accelerator ($97/month). Tim, Dawn, Jen, and Kaleb are already in there doing the work together. Just something to be aware of if you're ready to go deeper. If you want more information about that, just shoot me a DM and/or make sure to book your strategy and onboarding call so you can make sure that you're getting the most out of this community

💯Aim for 80%, not 100%
There's a library composer who's been placed 40,000 times. Do the math and it works out to one cue a day, every day, for 15 years. What I see is consistent output aimed at about 80% instead of chasing perfect. Most people can't even tell the difference between someone's 80% and their 95%. If you're stuck polishing one track for a week, you're optimizing for the wrong thing. What's your "aim for 80%" number: how many tracks could you actually finish this month if you stopped chasing perfect?

⏭️What we covered this week, and what's next
This week we covered a lot: follow-up cadence, the Kaizen mindset, bouncing to audio to force finishing, and a member spotting a skill they'd overlooked. The first mixing/production content comes next week - let me know if there's a specific topic you want me to cover. And comment with the one takeaway from this week you're actually going to act on.

🫓Your mix is FLAT because you're not allowing anything to lead!
If your instrumental track feels flat even though the composition is solid, here's a likely reason: everything in the arrangement is playing a support role and nothing is actually leading. In a song, the vocal carries the emotion. In an instrumental cue, something has to do that job, strings, brass, a synth lead, whatever fits. Pick one instrument per moment to exaggerate and carry the tension or drama. Try this test: strip the drums out entirely. Does the bed still sell the emotion on its own? If not, that's your sign. Try the drums-out test on your current project and tell us what you find.
