This question goes right to the heart of what I've been uncovering. The honest no underneath my yes is the fear that if I say no, they might be disappointed in me and I may feel like I'm letting them down.
Their disappointment does not mean I did something wrong, I am not becoming selfish. I am practicing not abandoning myself. Their disappointment doesn't define my worth. My no does not make me less worthy. My voice matters too.
