Day 4: The Hidden Pay-OFF
For three days you've found the belief, the hiding place, the voice. Today the camera turns around.
Because you're not just stuck. You're getting something out of being stuck. There's a payoff. Nothing survives this long in you without paying rent.
That's today. Not "what's wrong with me," but what am I quietly getting from staying exactly here?
Here's where most people go wrong: they give the acceptable answer. "I'm being responsible." "I'm just being realistic." Noble words. Also a costume. The real payoff is never noble. It's the slightly embarrassing one: as long as I don't fully try, I never find out I'm not enough. As long as I say I'll get to it, I get the credit for intending without the risk of doing.
That's the one I want. The uncomfortable truth, not the acceptable one.
So watch for the moment you reach for the noble word, and ask what it's protecting you from. And when AVA asks what this is costing you, answer honestly. Not the tidy cost. The real one.
