While out here in Montana for the summer I haven’t been able to surf the rivers yet but started fly fishing. As a newbie I found a book of just a running list of tips for anglers of all skill levels. I thought this would be great for surfing as well.
Given the amount of knowledge and experience represented in this space, I thought it would be beneficial if each of us can add one tip you would like to share for surfers of any skill level.
For example: For short boarders learning how to perform a snap, make sure to twist your hips and look in the direction you are going. Too often we can get ahead of ourselves and look down the line before our turn is complete. Even on the pro level I’ve seen people dig a rail after their turns because they get too ahead of themselves.
