Today is very special for 2 reasons. First, today is the official launch of our Superfriends Prophetic Community here in Skool. Second, itβs the anniversary of the origin of the idea for this unique communityβwhen our Founders, Tiffany, Rodney, and I, first teamed up to create a prophetic community exactly one year ago today!
In honor of βFounderβs Dayβ and the first official βSuperfriends Day,β I am going to share my Origin Story. And I want to encourage the other founders, and , to share their Origin Stories as well. As you may already know, every superhero has an βorigin storyβ that explains how they became who they are. For our Superfriends community, we would like new members to post their Origin Storyβhow they became a member of our community. We want to know what led you to us and what was going on in your life that caused you to want to seek more authentic, fulfilling, and lasting friendships.
We want to hear from each new member as they join our community! So be sure to share YOUR Origin Story with us when you become a new Superfriend.
So without further ado, here is my Origin Storyβ¦
Throughout my youth and young adulthood, I always seemed to have a best friend or a couple of good friends. But later in life, having a solid couple of friends and girlfriendsβlet alone Godly friendsβbecame close to impossible. I did all the things youβre supposed to do. βHe who has friends shows themselves friendly,β I would hear that all the time. I did that. I sowed. I showed up and supported friends in their new business endeavors, baby showers, weddings. I went to dinner and drinks. I was their shoulder to cry onβan endless, unofficial therapist, babysitter, marriage counselor, run-around-town-with-you-as-you-run-errands type of friend.
But there was little to no reciprocation.
And thatβs just superficial stuff.
When it comes to someone being able to pray heaven down or cast a devil outβ¦ crickets. When it came to someone showing up to the hospital when youβre in the ER... nothing. Your graduation for your Master's degree? Silence. And donβt be someone who is prophetic tooβ¦ complete isolation.
That has been the vast majority of my adult life.
I thought maybe God just wanted me isolated. You knowββto develop my spiritual gifts.β The things we tell ourselves when weβre in denial.
Thereβs a familiar scripture in Genesis 2:18 where God states that βitβs not good for man to be alone.β God makes him a helper, and then we have Eve. But I believe God also meant that it is not good for humanity to be alone in general. We should have community.
Because the Word in Ecclesiastes 4:12 also states βThough one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.β And we also know in prayer that when two are in agreement, anything they ask in prayer will be done for them by the Father (Matt. 18:19-20).
All these scriptures speak to the power of community.
We were never suppose to go at it alone.
We are stronger together. We are better together.
And if I was having challenges finding good friends in general, how much more challenging would it be to find friends who are spiritually groundedβwho walk with God and actually hear clearly from the Lord?
Almost impossibleβ¦
Until one fateful day in February 2025, where I met Tiffany and Rodney online through a prophetic conferenceβand everything changed.
Now we are covenant friends, working together to build MORE of what God is doing in our livesβtrue covenant friendship that is Spirit-led.
We may be the first in this community, but it is our mission to help other believers cultivate lasting, trusting, divinely orchestrated friendshipsβwith Godβs βSuperβ moving on each relationship birthed in this community.
Because with Superfriends, you never walk alone.
And for the first time in my adult life, I feel covered. I feel supported. And I no longer feel alone.π‘οΈ
