Gemstones we can use
Hi everyone, my name is Erika and I work with polymer clay primarily, but I recently discovered silver clay and was intrigued. My husband asked me to make him a wedding band since he lost his, but I want to make myself a matching one with gems.
I would appreciate any help, advice, answers 🤞🏻
So now my questions are:
- Which stones are generally safe to use with metal clay?
- Have any of you tried using other stones/ gems/ glass, etc. aside from the approved list?
- Can we use stones found at our craft stores? Some say cubic zirconias and glass gems, etc. Are those ok?
- Where is a good and safe place to purchase gemstones from?
