My natural gifts and talents have served me well. I decided to apply for a residency to get intensive training by and with other professionals. I am honored to share that I have been accepted into the upcoming cohort of the 4th annual Wilmington BLACK Storyteller Residency!!! I will not be available from July 20-27. 😊

I attended member's @David Harris "A Poets Panel" as one of his guest panelists. It was such a great event. Organic, welcoming and needed. I hope he posts some photos. I hope to schedule a zoom with him to share teachable moments and the gems everyone shared. Congratulations, David! Well done!

Whew! I hope that you guys have been busy as I am doing this Juneteenth weekend! I was able to host three events And perform two events since Father’s Day through Juneteenth! Juneteenth is a very important time for our culture and I hope you’re using your gifts during this season! I will update a list of holiday opportunities that you can use as a poet or performer during Father’s Day and Juneteenth, so you can better prepare for next year!
