Marketing Monday Tip: Stop Selling the Thing. Start Selling the Shift.
One of the biggest mistakes business owners make is marketing what they do instead of what their customer gets. People do not usually buy coaching, consulting, bookkeeping, design, catering, photography, wellness services, products, or memberships just because they sound nice. They buy because they want a shift. They want to feel more confident. They want to save time. They want to make more money. They want to look more professional. They want less stress. They want to be seen, supported, prepared, celebrated, or understood. So this week, look at one offer in your business and ask: “What changes for my customer after they say yes?” Then update one piece of your marketing to say that clearly. Instead of: “I offer social media management.” Try: “I help busy business owners show up consistently online without spending every day wondering what to post.” Instead of: “I sell handmade candles.” Try: “I create candles that help people turn ordinary evenings into calm, cozy rituals.” Your offer matters. But the transformation is what makes people pay attention. This week’s action step: Rewrite one bio, post, website section, or sales caption so it focuses less on the service and more on the result. That is how we create More Pride. More Profit. More Power.

This is a focused workshop helping LGBTQ+ business owners in our Success Syndicate, stop chasing every tactic and instead identify the few actions that actually grow revenue, visibility, and community. This aligns with the Syndicate’s mission of creating a supportive space where LGBTQ entrepreneurs can thrive together. Let’s Get Back To Some Basics: Set Your Business Foundation: Define your business goal, ideal customer, core offer, and competitive advantage so your target audience/clients, know exactly what you sell, who you serve, and why buyers should choose you. Define Your Marketing strategy: What is your Brand Messaging; do you have a Vision Statement that guides how you will operate your business? How are you going to go about your lead generation? What are your current visibility channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Blog, Newsletter, Etc.)? Have you created a simple marketing action plan with clear goals? What Is Your Sales System: Do you have a Sales Funnel built or an idea to create one? Do you operate solely on Referrals and Reaching Out 1-on-1? How do you teach your ideal Customers/Clients, to move them from Awareness to Inquiry to Purchase/Hire? Are you including sales goals and do you track them? What is your follow-up after your points of contact with potential Customers/Clients? What is your follow-up after you make the sale or get hired? Create An Operations Check-up: Review your systems quarterly to see if they are still serving you. What is your client experience; do you capture referrals, testimonials, feedback questionnaires? What are your daily business habits? Are you using a practical checklist approach? Attached is a Mini-Worksheet to help you plan.

Tuesday Tools For Growth: The 3-Part Business Growth Checkup!! If you want to grow your business, stop asking, “How do I do more?” and start asking, “What moves people to buy?” Today, let's concentrate on 3 things: 1. Check Your Offer: Can people quickly understand what you do, who it helps, and why it matters? 2. Check Your Visibility: Are you showing up consistently where your ideal customers already spend time? 3. Check Your Follow-Up: Do you have a clear way to stay in touch after someone shows interest? Now for some Action: Pick one area above and improve it this week. - Rewrite your offer in one sentence - Post one value-driven piece of content - Follow up with 3 warm leads or past clients Bottom line: Businesses usually do not stall because of lack of talent. They stall because the message, visibility, or follow-up is weak. Growth gets easier when you fix the right bottleneck.
