Today, Melinda and I spent time at the Mormon Battalion Historic Site in Old Town San Diego. As we walked through the exhibits and learned about the faith, sacrifice, and resilience of those who came before us, I was reminded why Adventure Wealth is one of the 12 Pillars of Rebel Wealth. Adventure isn’t just about vacations. It’s about growth. When you step outside your normal routine, your perspective changes. You learn. You grow. You reconnect with your spouse, your family, your faith, and yourself. Too many men believe they have to wait until retirement to start living. Don’t: Take the weekend trip. Visit the historic site. Go hiking. Explore a new city. Create memories with your wife and kids. Money can buy a trip. Adventure Wealth is what makes that trip meaningful. June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Can I make a simple challenge to every man in this brotherhood? Check on your bros. That guy you used to work with.That friend you haven’t talked to in months. That brother.That cousin.That neighbor.That man at church.That buddy you only see once a year at the store. If his name keeps coming to your mind, stop ignoring the prompting. Send the text. Make the call. Write the message. Mail the postcard. Too often we think, “I’ll do it tomorrow.” Then tomorrow becomes next week. Next week becomes next month. And sometimes life changes before we ever reach out. One of the greatest gifts we can give another man is simply letting him know someone noticed him. And if he opens up? Listen. Don’t rush to solve his problems.Don’t take over the conversation. Ask questions. “How are you really doing?” “What’s been weighing on you lately?” “What do you think is causing that?” Most men aren’t used to talking about what’s going on beneath the surface. But when they know someone genuinely cares, walls begin to come down. This is Mental Wealth. Strong men don’t walk alone. Today, reach out to one man who has been on your mind. You may never know how much he needed that call.
