When I decided to cater my career around being a holistic practitioner, I felt that to be the best directional street to go down because as someone who truly recovered from a life of addiction, this would be and mean the best way of me personally recovering from the multitude of damage I may have done to myself amidst my addiction. As spending years destroying myself (or at least trying to considering that I'm here writing this composition), events have led me to find the best value of myself within and thus, have led me to find the best way to recover the damage to myself I have done; physically with my bodily functions and regular homeostasis, autonomously in a sense of how I operate myself emotionally and mentally, and (most importantly) my regular sense of spirituality and purpose.
Physicality. Mentality. Spirituality. These three elements of life are what I feel holistic practices are based on the best of. As holistic practitioners, we're to focus on the strengths of ourselves to overcome the vulnerabilities of ourselves, all the while, learning to recognize our own weaknesses so that we can build our strengths to overcome them. I've come to learn that with the benevolent balance of these 3 elements of life (though the balance may not necessarily be perfect) is what keeps me at my most optimum when it comes to living and navigating the streets of my own life. Each of these elements have their share of maintenance that needs to be adhered to for what I consider to be the best flow within to the world without.
One thing I tend to do to ensure this maintenance is workout and exercise in each of these elemental dimensions of living. In fact, as I take a break to write this prose, I'm currently amidst coming up with an exercise plan to help with bodily transformation, but other aspects of this planned program is also going to have to do with mental and spiritual aspects of it too...but I'm currently exploring options on how I'm going to add those elements as well. By doing this, I feel this will help with the holistic practitioner ego I'm truly starting to step into.
I am always up for suggestions. I may try to incorporate this also into the current daily vibes that I do for the other socials, but I've yet to make a determination on that part.
In closing of this post, I want to leave you with a message of personal hope and inspiration. You, who are taking the time to read this post, are reason in this world. Check in with yourself often to ensure you're in the place that's aligned with your life and world. Keep yourself strong where you can and rest where you need to. I tend to say in Street Therapy that forward is inevitable and we should move in stride, but I also tell people to rest in stride as well because you need to be at your best and recharged for you to make the most benevolent changes in the world that you were meant to achieve. Treat yourself well so that you can treat the world around you well. I love you and have the best day! 💚💚💚
