I created this space because Afrobeat drumming deserves a real home. Not just tutorials online, but a place where it's taught by someone actually living it on stage every night. I'm Emmanuel, but most people know me as Els. I grew up in Amsterdam's Bijlmer, Ghanaian roots, started drumming at age 7. Since the end of 2022 I've been the touring drummer for Rema. Coachella, Lowlands, stages around the world and I've played and worked with artists like King Promise, Omah Lay, Victony, P-Square and more. Everywhere I go, people ask the same thing: how do you actually play this stuff? The pocket, the feel, the grooves that make Afrobeat hit the way it does. So I built this space to teach exactly that.
