$5.99/Week Subscription Cancelled! $77.87 Wasted TOTAL 🤦🏼♀️
I spend the last hour updating our budget from May, I was very behind as we have had a fairly chaotic month! I like to catch up on transactions every week but it has been wild times over here.
As I was reviewing one of our credit cards, I was like... 🤨 Why do I have so many charged for $5.99 happening?!
Realized I had subscribed to an app to help me clean all the excess photos on my phone... which was supposed to help us SAVE money because I did not want to level up my Apple iCloud storage. I guess at some point over the last couple of months, I caved on the apple storage and never cancelled this subscription.
And after further review, we have been charged 10 times total for this subscription that I was not using and spent $77.87 over the course of the last 3 months. 😭
Maybe 77.87 doesn't seem like a lot....
BUT if we had invested the $77.87 and then continued to contribute $5.99/week or $23/month. This is what would happen to our money in 5 years and in 10 years!
Key Take Aways:
1️⃣ Check your subscriptions regularly, life gets busy we forget and we spend money on stuff we don't need
2️⃣ Don't underestimate the little money you might feel like you have to invest. It pays off to be consistent regardless of how much you invest.
3️⃣ Even the "experts" get caught up in the everyday chaos of life, the important thing is to course correct and get back on track.
I'm still chalking this up as a 🏆WIN, because it has turned into a great teaching point!
