THE STAR MAKER PARENT ROOM!!!!
THE MOMENT BEFORE THE MOMENT.
I know what it feels like to stand backstage with my son, moments before he steps onto a stage to do something BIG. Something potentially life-changing.
And in that moment, I wished I could have walked onto that stage FOR him.
I was worried. Excited. Afraid. Happy. Grateful. I was literally holding my breath.
Is this THE moment?
Will they see what I see?
What if they don't?
What if he's disappointed?
What if they say NO?
And somewhere in the middle of all those emotions, I had to ask myself an even bigger question...
What is MY role in HIS dream?
How do I help him without hindering him? How do I protect him without holding him back? How do I prepare him for the world while allowing him to experience it for himself?
Is that even possible?
