CURRENT LESSON: I CAN DIG IT! — LISTENING AND SPEAKING PRACTICE
For the next two weeks, we will practice with ‘I Can Dig It!’ Complete the activities during the week. Weekends are optional for catching up or reviewing. Before class, watch this short video. It is less than five minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ogTIEGLt9s The speaker tries an unusual meal: brown rice, soy sauce, and blueberries. As you listen, notice these expressions: 1. Go crazy with it 2. There’s no such thing as too many… 3. Pulling my chain 4. I can dig it 5. Who knew? 6. It’s a yes for me YOUR ASSIGNMENT: 1. Watch the video. 2. Vote in the poll. Choose ONE expression from the list. In the comments, explain what you think it means and use it in your own sentence. EXAMPLE: Expression: “I can dig it.” Meaning: I like it or approve of it. My sentence example: I did not expect to enjoy the new restaurant, but I CAN DIG IT! You do not have to understand every word. Choose ONE expression and give us your best answer. We will practice these expressions together during our live class.

Dr. Priscilla may occasionally join when available, but members are encouraged to begin practicing without waiting for the instructor. Please select only one time when you would normally be available to participate. All times are EASTERN TIME. Your responses will help us decide whether to keep the noon Café and add another practice time.
