I heard this story in group meditation a few months back.
With all of the solar flares and the shifts in energy this week, I feel it is worth sharing with all of you again.
The painting is a gift from my friend Erica.
The lobster's growth story is one of repeated discomfort and shedding.
Lobsters, despite being soft and mushy, live inside a hard, rigid shell that doesn't expand.
As the lobster grows, the shell becomes too small, causing discomfort and pressure.
To grow, the lobster seeks shelter, typically under rocks, to protect itself from predators while it molts, or sheds, its old shell.
A new, soft shell is then produced underneath. This process repeats throughout the lobster's life.
We are all lobsters.
