Revealed - Astilbe is happy to sit in the shadows, so use it to help with shadow work. As the flowers look like the beard of a goat, they can be used to impart goat magic; balance, courage, respect, curiosity, emotional or mental sacrifice and independence. It can also represent the god Pan, the half-goat deity. In fact, astilbe carries a nice punch of masculine energy. The name comes from the Greek, loosely translating to "without brightness," which refers to the dull leaf color on some species.
