Pleasure first, then trauma
Focusing obsessively on trauma can keep people stuck rather than help them shift, because attention reinforces the very state they’re trying to escape.
Instead, the emphasis should be on changing internal state through simple, accessible tools like breath, movement, nourishment, and experiences of pleasure.
By building the capacity to feel better first, unresolved material will naturally surface in a way that can actually be integrated rather than just analyzed.
