Your entire Awareness system should be simple enough to draw on one page. Awareness is the first stage in the customer journey in any business. The customer can't buy from you if they don't know you exist. Pretty simple. But ... sometimes we tend to overcomplicate it. There are 6 things required for Customer Journey Awareness: 👥 Audience 💬 Message ✍️ Content 📣 Channel 🔁 Reinforcement 🤝 Handoff 👥 Audience We all know about audience, right? These are our ideal customers. These are the people who need what we're selling that solves their problem. So ... we need to get this one right because it drives the others. In addition to the basic demographics of your audience, how aware are they about the problem they have? ▪️Are they aware they have the problem your offer solves? ▪️Are they aware they have the problem but don't know what to do about it? ▪️Do they know what to do about the problem they have but don't know who or what can help them? 💬 Message How you frame your message depends on the level of awareness your audience has about their problem. Awareness messaging is educating your ideal customer based on their stage of awareness of the problem. ▪️If they don't know they have the problem, then the message needs to describe it in a way that resonates with them. ▪️If they know they have the problem, your messaging needs to educate about options for dealing with it. ▪️If they know what to do about the problem, then your messaging needs to present your offer as the solution, which let's them know you can help them. ✍️ Content How are you delivering the message? Are you recording videos, long blog posts, short social media posts, networking, public speaking, etc. 📣 Channel Where are you putting your content? Where will your ideal audience encounter your message? Or another way to look at this is, where is your ideal audience already hanging out? What's the best channel for communicating with your ideal client? ▪️Social media platforms like FB, IG, LI, TikTok, etc.
