How do you never eat meat??
I don’t. I do eat meat on occasion. Just not every day. One fact I found out as I tried just about every trending diet out there is, if you eliminate anything, you disrupt the balance. The body suffers.
If you forbid yourself anything, you will lose.
So why do I talk so much about high-frequency eating if I eat low-frequency foods sometimes? Because the body and mind need balance. I listen to what I’m craving (which doesn’t happen often) and I honor it.
Yesterday, I was craving tacos. Yes, the hard shell crunchy ones. So I decided I’d fast from solid food until my digestion peaked for lunch. I made the tacos. The fast food ones hurt my stomach, so I wanted my homemade ones. 😋 I ate the tacos. I loved the tacos. And I gave thanks for the animal and the plants that made it possible to have them.
Nourishing your body is a dance. It’s when you stray too far one way or the other where it gets imbalanced. I eat very clean, but two days a week, I give myself the freedom to enjoy a craving or to eat with the crowd at my job or with family on holidays or when I’m enjoying myself on vacation. I use supplements to help my digestion since I have no gall bladder and that prevents any backup I might feel.
The one thing I have found that really messes my body up is soda pop. It bloats me like nothing else. Meat is a close second. I even did an experiment recently. I ate very clean and had 10oz of Coke with my very clean meal. I did this once a day for 5 days.
I looked 4 or 5 months pregnant. My belly was distended and fat deposits showed up in only 5 days. Then, I stopped and went back to clean eating with the lemon vitality elixir as my drink. In 3 days, my bloat reduced by 50%. Hopefully by vacation, the rest will be gone too. 😂 However, the experiment showed that the one acidic food that gets my body the most is soda pop. Anything carbonated. Break the addiction and find solace in the nourishment from Source. ❤️
