When cooking lasagne do not cook the noodles 1st.
Build the lasagna as you would normally do but with uncooked noodles.
Add 50% more sauce. Check for enough sauce while cooking after the 1st 30 minutes and each 20 thereafter.
The noodles will absorb the sauce and its flavor.
Keys to great lasagns;
Use 3 cheezes ( mozzarella, ricotta and guyere.
Use 3 meats, beef, lamb and pork or turkey or bison. Or remove the casing from sausage, ground it up and add to layers.
Increase all spices by at least 25%.
Cover tightly while cooking at 350f.
Usually, the cooking time is 1 hour, but this will depend upon how many layers, traditional Italian is 1 but Americans usually do 2 to 4 layers. Also, whether the ingredients are cold or room temperature.
