Even though I managed to compete at a very high level as a kid, landing a college scholarship for a D1 program, the thing that always kept me showing up was the feeling I would get when I stepped onto the field on game day. I just LOVED to play.
Now, as a coach and parent I try my best to make sure that the kids on the field with me get that same experience. Tbh, its pretty tough to not get caught up in all the responsibilities of being a parent, but it is essential. Kids need to be free to play and explore or they don't feel safe enough to grow.
Im curious, what do you do in order to let go of all the stress and remember that it is just a game you love?
